2015/2016 Al Jalila Foundation’s Medical Scholarship Programme for Emirati Post-Graduate Students

Al Jalila Foundation, a not-for-profit healthcare organization has launched Al Jalila Foundation’s Medical Scholarship Programme for Emirati Post-Graduate Students. The Scholarships are available for Emirati Nationals who wish to pursue postgraduate studies in medical and health sciences in the United Arab Emirates.

All Emirati students who are planning to register in Msc. Pharm programme in College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences,Ajman University of Science and Technology may use this valuable opportunity to obtain these scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility to receive Al Jalila Foundation scholarship is determined based on the following:
a.) Students must apply for the scholarship during the official application period and should provide all
the required documents by the application due date.
b.) Students must be pursuing a post graduate degree in the medical or health sciences for a UAE-based
program accredited by the UAE Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA-UAE).

c.) UAE National students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale or its established
equivalent required in their most recent degree program. The scholarship can also be awarded to UAE
National students with a GPA of 2.7 or above on a 4.0 scale or its established equivalent required
if the specialization of the postgraduate study they pursue is rare, needed or new in the UAE at the time they apply for the scholarship.
d.) UAE residents may apply for the scholarship program provided they fulfil all eligibility criteria and that they are holding a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale or its established equivalent required
for their most recent degree.
e.) Students must have completed their undergraduate degree from a local or international university recognized by CAA-UAE.
f.) Students must have newly been accepted in a UAE-based postgraduate program accredited by CAA
-UAE. Students who have already started their studies in the program or completed one semester or more
will not be considered

Scholarship Worth:

  • The scholarship award will cover the tuition expenses including tuition fees and lab

Application Procedure:

The students must submit the following documents by the application due date:
a.) Completed Application Form
b.) Curriculum Vitae (CV)
c.) Copy of valid passport (including Visa page for UAE residents)
d.) Copy of Emirates ID
e.) Copy of UAE nationality document (Khulasat AlQayd)–if applicable
f.) An official acceptance letter for the postgraduate program they are pursuing
g.) Academic Transcripts of the most recent degree program (with the accumulative GPA score)
h.) Valid TOEFL or IELTS score. The score required by the CAA -UAE is a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (213 CBT, 79-80 iBT or 6.0 IELTS
i.) Personal Statement about enrolling in the Scholarship program
j.) Two letters of recommendation
