Microsoft AI for Good accelerator programme 2019 for UK Startups

The Microsoft for Startups UK team is running a programme from February 2019 to June 2019 to help advance AI solutions in the areas of environmental sustainability and accessibility: AI for Earth and AI for AccessibilityThe programme is open to any UK organisations which have a primary social or environmental mission. 

Participants will be supported by the Microsoft Startup team and various AI specialists, as well as benefit from the expertise, knowledge, and experience of the Social Tech Trust, who will be Microsoft’s partner in delivering the programmes.

Are you a social enterprise or startup looking to embed AI within your service offering? Or a charity looking for deeper guidance and support to help you lift an AI solution off the ground? Are you thinking innovatively about how AI can help tackle some of societies biggest challenges – from accessibility to climate change?

By being part of the programme, you’ll be connected with our UK startup team so you can access the resources, knowledge, and people needed to help you scale your socially transformative AI solution. Our curriculum provides business development, marketing, and technical support along with talks, seminars, and webinars delivered by experts from the social tech space, with modules focussed on social impact frameworks and how you can innovate for social transformation .

Participants will take part in the immersive programme in Shoreditch for 4 months, although it’s worth noting that you don’t have to be based in London to take part. You just need to be able to travel to attend the core seminars and workshops throughout the duration of the cohort.

Application Procedure:

If you’re a social enterprise, charity, social business or non-governmental organisation with the capacity, idea, and drive to come and join us, submit your application to the programme that best suits your idea on how AI can be used for social good before the 8th of January. 

Option 1:

Help cultivate intelligent experiences for more than one billion people globally with a disability.

Option 2:

Help change the way people and organisations monitor, model, and ultimately manage natural systems to address issues like climate change.
