Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Laurentian University

Post-Doctoral Fellowship, Laurentian University, Sudbury, ON, CND   The Centre for Research in Occupational Safety and Health (CROSH) invites applications for a 24 month Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Occupational Health and Safety.

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for research work related to an intensive research project entitled: Development of Knowledge Transfer Kits to Address Mobile Equipment. The primary aim of this project is to develop, pilot test and implement three Knowledge Transfer Kits (KTKs) to enhance knowledge of hazards associated with the operation of mobile equipment and implementation of control strategies to mitigate the hazards.

In addition to pursuing an intensive research project, the post-doctoral fellow is expected to participate as a member of the CROSH Team and will have an opportunity to participate in other Centre research activities.

Qualifications

Fellowship recipients are expected to live in Sudbury, Canada, while pursuing their research, and will have the opportunity to participate generally in the intellectual life of the Centre for Research in Occupational Safety and Health and larger University of Laurentian community.

The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline; however, consideration will be given to applicants that can demonstrate they are within 6-months of completion. Applicants must be able to communicate in English (read; write; speak). The ability to communicate in French is an asset.

Benefit:

This is a 24 month position (23 hours a week) with an annual salary of $50,000.  The successful applicant will be required to start on or before May 28, 2018.
