WASH Media Fellowship 2016 for Nepalese journalists

WaterAid Nepal (WAN) invites applications from journalists interested in applying for the WASH Media Fellowship 2016. The fellowship is open to all Nepalese journalists working for Nepali as well as English media outlets, including newspapers (daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly), FM radio stations, television channels and other online news portals and news agencies/wires.

WaterAid Nepal (WAN) was established in 1981, WaterAid is an international non-governmental organisation focused on improving people’s access to safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation in developing countries. It works on the basis that water and sanitation are human rights, and are essential services vital for health, education and livelihoods.

Eligibility

The fellowship is open to all Nepalese journalists working for Nepali or English media outlets, including newspapers, FM radio stations, television channels or online media outlets. Applicants with analytical and investigative concepts committing to publish/broadcast case studies, stories, features and articles in their respective media either on a regular basis or on a specific day will be given preference.

Necessary documents

  1. A well-written concept note (including your idea, methodology and budget)
  2. Your curriculum vitae
  3. A photocopy of a press card from affiliated media confirming your employment status as a journalist
  4. At least three examples of previous features/stories/articles either as a scan, PDF, or active URL
