The 5th edition of the Dosta!-Congress Prize for Municipalities is now open.
Following the success of the previous editions (2007, 2009, 2011 & 2013), the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe is once a gain partnering with the Dosta!-Campaign as part of their ongoing work to strengthen the role of local authorities in assisting and protecting the rights of Roma and Travellers.
The Dosta!-Congress Prize is awarded to three municipalities from Council of Europe member States
that have implemented innovative and creative initiatives to effectively ensure the long-term integration of the Roma and Traveller communities within their borders, while respecting the diversity of these communities and ensuring their active participation in democratic life.
The competition is open to municipalities/local authorities from Council of Europe member States who have run projects in 2013 and 2014 targeting Roma and/or Travellers, whether they be nationals or more recent migrants.
When and how to apply?
Applications must be submitted using the official application form which is available for download in English and French through websites of the Dosta! Campaign and the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe as of 24th April 2015.
Applications should be accompanied by the following:
- proof of budgetary allocation from the local authority;
- proof of the active participation of the target Roma (or Traveller) community.
The deadline for submission of applications is 30th June 2015.
