The Canadian Commission for UNESCO (CCUNESCO) believes that young people are key partners. Their experience and expertise enrich reflection and discussion and also help develop tangible and innovative initiatives. Their concerns and worldviews are important and help shape tomorrow’s world.
The Network in Canada
The Youth Advisory Group (YAG) is a model of youth engagement at the heart of CCUNESCO’s activities. Its 24 dedicated and creative members, representing every region in Canada, actively participate in our initiatives and help:
- identify the issues and concerns of youth in their communities and nationally
- develop projects for youth
- make recommendations based on their viewpoints and experience
YAG members are actively involved in various events, including CCUNESCO’s Annual General Meeting and UNESCO’s Youth Forum. They help plan initiatives and develop strategies. By including young people, CCUNESCO benefits from their innovative ideas and expertise in developing initiatives and implementing priorities.
The Canadian Commission for UNESCO (CCUNESCO) has positions to fill in its Youth Advisory Group (YAG). We are looking for people with expertise in various areas. These areas are listed in the application form.
