CEAIE- TEACH IN CHINA PROGRAM

The China Educational Association of International Exchange (CEAIE) program will be a chance for experienced teachers to live and work in China for twelve months. The aim of the program is to promote language exchange and mutual understanding among young people at home and abroad, and to improve foreign language education in Chinese schools. CEAIE has been working together with partner organizations overseas to provide opportunities for young people and experienced teachers to work as language teachers in Chinese schools at all levels since 2005.

The China Educational Association of International Exchange (CEAIE) program will be a chance for teachers from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom or the United States of America to live and work in China for twelve months. The aim of the program is to promote language exchange and mutual understanding among young people at home and abroad, and to improve foreign language education in Chinese schools, CEAIE has been working together with partner organizations overseas to provide opportunities for young people and experienced teachers to work as language teachers in Chinese school at all levels since 2005. More than 1,000 international English teachers came to China by participating in Teach in China Program. This program is supported by the CEAIE and the Institute of International Education (IIE).

The initial cohort of up to 200 Teachers will teach in China in August 2018 through August 2019. CEAIE participants will have the opportunity to teach English is classrooms all around China. Program benefits include TEFL certification and professional teaching experience overseas.

Requirements:

  • CEAIE seek applications from a diverse range of qualified teachers.
  • CEAIE welcome applications from candidates majoring in Education and English language study or with teaching experience will be highly competitive
  • . There is a preference for candidates who have traveled overseas, and a high preference for those with extensive teaching experience.

TIMELINE

May 7, 2018 – Application deadline
Mid-May, 2018 – Selection process, and applicants are notified of selection status
Late-May, 2018 – Registration for TEFL Certificate Training and Passport Number due
June 10, 2018 – Have completed online TEFL Registration and Evaluation Session
Late-June, 2018 – Have completed online TEFL Certification Program
August 14, 2018 – First cohort goes to China, induction course in Beijing (2 weeks camp)
