Audit South West provides Counter Fraud, Security and Internal Audit services with NHS and health related bodies in the South West.
We are seeking a high calibre, outgoing, motivated and aspirational Anti-Crime Officer to become a Local Counter Fraud Specialist. You will work with our team based in Exeter, although the role includes travel throughout the South West and occasional nationwide travel.
The Anti-Crime Trainee Programme is a key element of our service development strategy. It is based on a three year training programme leading to a “qualified level” for newly qualified counter fraud specialists of Band 6. Salary and progression is based on a Band 6 salary under the Agenda for Change Annex U, where you would progress through the set levels of the scheme. The initial starting salary is 65% of the top of the Band 6 scale with progression linked to successful programme completion and competence requirements. This assessment will be linked to the PDR process
Progression will be subject to successful completion of professional study and development, which will be fully funded with appropriate study leave as per the ASW guidance on professional study, as well as meeting core competence requirements.
Anti-Crime Officer – the successful applicant will support the Counter Fraud Manager in the prevention, detection and investigation of fraud and bribery within the NHS and in providing security service to our clients.
All applicants will have well-developed interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent presentation skills. They must have some knowledge of current investigating legislation and the law in relation to fraud and corruption.
