Young Australians in International Affairs’ Fellowship Program was launched in January 2015, aimed at promoting the voice of the next generation of Australians foreign policy thinkers in the analysis of international affairs. The program is designed to attract leading young Australian analysts and scholars with a background of high professional and academic achievement, outstanding skills in research and analysis, and demonstrated interest or experience in the Fellowship area to which they apply.

Over 6 months, Fellows regularly research and contribute articles to be published online by Young Australians in International Affairs on our blog, INSIGHTS. The Fellowship program is open to Australian citizens and permanent residents between the ages of 18 and 30. Fellowships are an unpaid, non-resident post and Fellows do not have to be currently based in Australia to apply.

Our Fellowship Program is designed to attract leading young Australian analysts and scholars and to offer them a uniquely empowering platform to develop their expertise in their area by regularly publishing their analysis and commentary on our blog, INSIGHTS.

The Fellowship Program runs for six months from 10 January to 30 June 2019, during which Fellows are required to submit a minimum of one original blog article each month. Fellows will be expected to remain abreast of current trends and the latest developments in their Fellowship area, and to contribute fresh and original analysis. Fellows are highly encouraged to take the opportunity to publish more than the required six articles. Failure to meet the minimum submission requirements will see Fellows removed from the Program.
